Dave White creates abstract mark-making style paintings and drawings. He usually uses natural figures such as human forms and animals. His style is to create a basic outline and fill it with various splashes and random strokes of paint to create texture and make it more visually attractive.
Some of his work :
I quite like this piece of his work. As you look at it closely, you can see the texture that he has created for the fur and the various shades and tones that the random colors have made. I particularly like the emotion and sad look that he has managed to create into the cougars eyes and face.
I like the effect of scruffiness Dave White has tried to create with the painting of this bear. The scratch like splats and strokes give the effect that the bear is wet and maybe tired, after having a long day looking for food. The way he has let the paint drip from the fur gives the effect of dripping water.
